4-6-2008 Dwelling, Monroe Twp., Williamstown, (Gloucester Co.) Broad Lane. : 4-6-2008 Monroe Twp, Cecil, Gloucester Co. Broad Lane Dwelling Station 29-5 dispatched to a dwelling fire. Monroe PD arrived to confirm a working fire. Initial reports were that there was a person trapped inside. Neighbors quickly confirmed that the house was empty. 3-5-2008, Multiple Dwellings, Monroe Twp. Williamstown, (Gloucester) Key West Drive : 3-5-2008 Monroe Twp, Williamstown (Gloucester Co.) Key West Drive Multiple Dwellings Station 29-1 dispatched to Key West Drive for a report of a dwelling fire with possible entrapment. Monroe PD arrived on scene and quickly confirmed a working fire. Entry was attempted by PD but officers were quickly turned back by heavy fire. PD began evacuating nearby houses. Closely laid out houses and high winds that evening caused the fire to jump to multiple roof tops. As many as 4 houses were damaged that evening. The box was filled for additional manpower and apparatus. A resident in the original fire building had succumb to injuries sustained in the blaze. Photos by Dave Hoffman

Gloucester Twp, Blackwood, Pennsylvania Ave, Dwelling 12 23 2008 : 12/23/2008 @ 1035hrs Gloucester Twp, NJ (Blackwood) Allhands Dwelling Pennsylvania Ave 8201 arrived to heavy fire out the rear of 1 1/2 story sfd. Command struck the allhands and placed several lines in service. Companies then went defensive to knock the bulk of the fire down. Once the fire was knocked crews continued with an interior attack. Elk Twp, Whig Lane, Dwelling : Nov 22, 2008 Whig Lane Rd. Elk Twp, NJ 1630hrs Command arrived to heavy fire throughout the dwelling and struck the allhands. An aggressive attack was made by first arriving units. Covers and Fast were added. A quick knock of the fire was made and units remained for overhaul. County Fire Marshals office on location.

Winslow Twp, Crab Shack, Building : June 10, 2008, 11:27 pm 329 Sicklerville Rd, Winslow Twp. The Crab Shack 2500 reported a 2 story commercial building with fire showing from the 2nd floor,placed all hands in service. Crews went into defensive operations master streams were placed in service, no injuries reported.Camden County Fire Marshal Investigating

Mantua Twp, Carolina Blue, Building : 12/05/2008 @ 0123hrs Lambs Road, Mantua Twp Carolina Blues Smokehouse 2nd Alarm Building Mantua Township Fire District 22 was dispatched to 692 Lambs Road, The Carolina Blue Restaurant, for a Building Fire. Shortly after signing on radio Battallion Chief 2201 was advised by County Communications that they were recieving numerous calls. FM 22-1 advised that he was on location confirming heavy fire on the D-Side of the building and requested Squad Company 22-18 to lead off with a 2 1/2 in handline as well as a 1 3/4 handline for an inside crew. The Squad Co arrived first due and immediately went to work knocking the fire. The operations officer reported that there was no visible fire on the interior, and that the fire was held to the exterior of the structure. Shortly after Command reported that the bulk of the fire had been extinguished and placed the Job under control. Crews remained on location assisting FM 22 with his investigation.

Deptford, New Sharon Fire House, Building : Deptford fd on a building fire at Station 94 (New Sharon). 12/08/2008 2215hrs 9201 (Thomas) reported heavy smoke from the fire house,the 2nd alarm was requested, firefighters were able to remove 1 engine through the bay door. Companies made a quick knock on the fire, no injuries were reported. The Gloucester County Fire Marshal and Deptford Twp Fire Marshal's Office is investigating

Mantua Twp, Wawa, Building : WAWA Building fire Woodbury /Glassboro Rd 12/06/2008 @ 2345hrs District 22 on the Building Box @ Wawa on Woodbury/ Glassboro Rd. 22-16 arrived to find the building filling with smoke. The second alarm was struck shortly after arriving adding the RIT and re-toning the district. Crews stretched a 1 ¾” attack line through the front door and contained the fire to employee’s bathroom. Crews remained on location to overhaul and assist invest.

Williamstown, Tara Drive, Dwelling : 12/07/2008 TARA DRIVE, WILLIAMSTOWN, NJ 1530HRS Units were dispatched on a dwelling, PD advised command of a 2 story wood framed dwelling well invovled. Command arrived and struck the 2nd alarm placing compnaies into a defensive attack. It was beleived to be unoccupied at the time and was later confirmed upon homeowners returning home. No injuries were reported. Covers and Rit were placed prior to the second alarm. Companies remained on location to assit FM in the invest.

Washington Twp, Bravo, Building : 11/23/2008 @ 2055HRS 342 EGGHARBOR ROAD BRAVO FLORIST 2ND ALARM BUILDING Callers reported smoke from 3 sides of the building. Chief Hoffman arrived to find heavy smoke throughout and a working fire. First arriving crews secured a water supply and advanced several lines while the truck company opened up. The fire went to two alarms however a quick knock down of the fire was made. Covers were added. While engaged in this fire Dist 10 was dispatched for a dwelling which was handled by covers and cleared quickly. Deptfords Canteen 9 provided rehab for the job.

Elk Twp, Clayton Aura Rd, Dwelling : Friday, September 5, 2008, 2:00 pm 279 Clayton Aura Road Chief D. Marchei (3900) had a 1 story single family rancher with heavy fire. Tankers were used to set up a water supply and the all hands was struck. A quick knock was made on the fire and Command placed the fire under control. Units remained on location for overhaul and to assit the fire marshals office. A Special thanks to Chief Kinsley (4100) for assiting me with fireground access.

Washington Twp Dist 10, Redwood, Dwelling : July 19 2008 0440 hrs Washington Township, Whitman Square section On July 19, 2008 @ approx 0440hrs Station 10-2 Whitman Square as well as 10-1 & 10-3 were dispatched to Johnson Road near Redwood Street for a fire. Upon first units arrival it was found to be fully involved vacant dwelling. A quick knock down was made and units remained on location for some time for overhaul, clean up and to assist Dist. 10 FI with the investagation.

Wasington Twp Dist 10, Joesph Dr, Dwelling : 12/21/2008 @ 11:00am Joesph Drive Dist 10, Dwelling District 10 along with Squad 10-9 were dispatched for a report of a dwelling fire at #34 Joseph Drive in the Wrenfield Development. Gloucester County fire board were advising units responding that they were getting multiple calls reporting heavy black smoke coming for the second story windows. Chief Sumek (10-201) arrived and confirmed a working fire and requested the "All Hands". Ladder 1026 was first due and went into service. WTFD personnel remained on scene for several hours. The fire is currently under investigation

Stanger Ave, Williamstown, Dwelling : Wednesday 12/31/08 @ 22:23 - Dwelling On new years eve, Station 291 was called to Stanger Ave for a reported Dwelling fire. County advised the caller saw fire around the fireplace. Command arrived to nothing showing and upon further investigation found heavy fire in the chimney with extension into the attic. Crews made an aggressive interior attack of the attic fire. Evacuation tones were hit and crews went defensive. Multiple master streams in service to bring the fire under control. 3 firefighters were transported to the hospital with injuries.
